Policies & Procedures

The safety of your children is paramount. The following procedures have been put in place to ensure a high standard of safety is maintain at all times.

Risk Assessments

These are carried out on a daily basis, both in the nursery and outdoor play area, so that we can identify every hazard and risk. We record all findings and have a period in which we take action, if necessary.

Fire Drills

Fire drills take place regularly and all findings are recorded. This is to ensure that everyone is aware of the procedure and that it runs efficiently at all times.

Security

The premises will be kept secure at all times; we have a video intercom system at the main entrance of the building. Global Kids Day Care has written confirmation as to who is to collect the children. If this person is unable to collect the child they must inform us of the situation and who will be picking up the child and a confidential password system will come in effect.

Settling In Procedure

Global Kids Day Care offers all potential clients access to the settling in procedure for their children. We understand that every child is an individual with different needs and wants. Our staff will work in partnership with the parent/career to ensure the settling in period is relaxed and flexible.

A visit to the nursery with your child would be required for your child to familiarise themselves with the environment and staff. How long the settling period is for is based on the child. Please note there is no charge for the settling in period.

Key Person will be designated to your child or children. This key person will work directly with yourself and child to ensure the child is developmentally achieving and to work with you in partnership throughout your child’s attendance.

Parent/Guardian Involvement

Global Kids Day Care aims to involve careers with the nursery. We will hold open evenings/days where parents are welcome to attend the nursery, look at their child’s development record, work undertaken, curriculum and also have the opportunity to discuss anything with their child’s keyworker.

We also hold sessions occasionally where parents/careers can use their own expertise as part as the session, such as cooking activities, songs and stories from different languages, reading workshops and much more. Careers involvement session is done on a voluntary rota basis as we understand about other commitments.

Complaints Procedure

At Global Kids Day Care we pride ourselves on our partnership with parents. If for any reason you are unhappy with our service, we would like you to do the following to resolve your concern:


1: Speak to your child key person about the concern (if you feel you are still not satisfied........)

2: Speak to the Nursery Deputy or Nursery Manager (If you feel you are still not satisfied.........)
